My year old boy is sick, I got incredibly sick and called out of work last Tuesday. Wednesday morning I was feeling well enough to go to the office (I have to get those hours in)... ended up backing up and breaking my side view mirror when I side-swiped a tree. Broke the motor inside of it, broke the color-matching plastic case, the only thing that didn’t break was the stupid mirror itself. -_-.
Now I have to figure out if it’s cheaper to buy the side view mirror as one unit, or wait until it’s warmer and get only the necessary parts from the junkyard. Probable the one unit plan is easier.... *sigh*

Sorry you guys are or have been sick. It’s a rough year for that. Watch your kid carefully!

In high school my friend nailed his similar vintage Impala’s mirror on a pole. He bought a new one, I painted it and we put it on the next day. His parents never knew! Granted it was summer, so easier to paint. But still really easy.

Thanks! And we are. Might be taking him to after hours tonight... not sure yet...

Yeah, that crap is nasty this year. No chances shall be taken.

Damn, sorry mate...I snagged the front of a building when I was backing up while turning in tight quarters a few months ago...scratched the bumper with some ugly brown paint thrown in -_-
It’s just in the cover, so won’t rust or anything, but I felt terrible afterwards - it may be my Korean crapbox, but it’s MY Korea crapbox! I bet you could find a whole unit at a local pick and pull yard?

There’s two u-pick yards near me, but finding this gen Grand Prix isn’t always the easiest.
Also, I never noticed how much I used the mirror until it was gone...
